Bloomington/Normal Meet Schedule
Below is the on-going swim meet schedule for the Bloomington/Normal site. Detailed information for each meet will be added as soon as it is received from the host club.
We strongly encourage all swimmers to participate in the meets on our schedule. We’ve designed our schedule to include meets that are conveniently located - including home meets and others within a short driving distance - making them easier for families to attend. Most meets also offer flexible registration, allowing you to sign up for the specific days your swimmer is available.

June
June 5-7 - Red Raiders Capital City Classic Meet (Springfield, Il)
Location – Nelson Center Pool, Springfield, Il
This is a team hosted meet. Our biggest hosted meet of the year always proves to be very exciting for our RAID swimmers. All Red Raider swimmers are automatically entered and are expected to participate in this meet.

Meet Schedule
Swimmers must arrive on time and be ready to begin warm-ups at the scheduled times.
- Friday – Afternoon Mile Session- All Age Groups
- Arrival Time – 12:45 pm Warmups - 1:00 pm Meet Starts - 2:00 pm
- Friday – Evening Session- All Age Groups
- Arrival Time – 4:15 pm Warmups - 4:30 pm Meet Starts - 5:30 pm
- Saturday & Sunday Morning - 11-12, 13-14, Open Age Groups
- Arrival Time – 6:45 am Warmups - 7:00 am Meet Starts - 8:15 am
- Saturday and Sunday Afternoon - 10-U, 8-U Age Groups
- Arrival Time – 12:30 am Warmups – 12:45 pm Meet Starts – 1:45 pm
Parent Worker Sign-Up
Each family is responsible for working a minimum of three (3) sessions per team-hosted meet.
Note: Little Raider families are required to work a minimum of two (2) sessions per team-hosted meet.
Sign-up for work times is done online and is very easy. To sign up, please visit the site HERE. Please do not wait to sign up — early sign-ups help us tremendously with meet planning.
Please note that we may need to move volunteers between jobs depending on the administrative needs of running the meet.
We especially need help in the Hospitality Room on Friday, as well as a couple of people willing to learn and help run the timing system throughout the meet. The timing system may sound intimidating, but it is actually very manageable, and we will have experienced people there to help train and assist anyone interested. This is an important role for both this meet and future meets, and we would love to have 2–3 additional parents trained to help with the system.

June 26-28 – Valparaiso Northwest Indiana Swimming Showcase (Valparaiso, Indiana)
Location – Valparaiso High School Valparaiso, Indiana
This is a great long course meet at a fantastic facility, and we are excited to have the opportunity to attend again this year. We have participated in this meet in the past, and our swimmers really enjoyed the experience and competed very well.

July 10-12 Champaign HEAT Illinois Open (Urbana, Il)
Location - University of Illinois, Urbana, Il
This is an annual meet that both our RAID sites attend every year. It is a great meet close to home that we encourage our RAID swimmers to compete in. Red Raider swimmers in the Buccaneers, Pirates, Silver and Red groups are automatically entered and are expected to participate in this meet. Little Raider swimmers can also participate but are not required to participate.

July 17-19 Illinois Swimming Regional Championships – Normal, Il
Location - Site TBD
This meet is the state’s regional championship for swimmers of all age groups. To participate, swimmers must have achieved the required qualifying standards. All swimmers who have met these qualifying times will be automatically entered into the meet.

July 23-26 – Illinois Swimming Senior State Championships – Westmont, Il
Location – FMC Natatorium, Westmont, Illinois
This is the state’s Senior State Championship meet. Swimmers must meet the qualifying standards to participate. All swimmers who have achieved the qualifying times will be entered into the meet.

July 25-26 Illinois Swimming 10 & U State Championships – Libertyville, Il
Location - Libertyville High School - Libertyville, IL
This is the state’s Age Group Championship meet for swimmers aged 10 years old and under. Swimmers must meet the qualifying standards to participate. All swimmers who have achieved the qualifying times will be entered into the meet.

July 30-August 2 Illinois Swimming 11-14 State Championships – Hobart, Indiana
Location - Hobart High School - Hobart, IN
This is the state’s Age Group Championship meet for swimmers ages 11 to 14. Swimmers must meet the qualifying standards to participate. All swimmers who have achieved the qualifying times will be entered into the meet.

August 16-Turbo Turtles End of Summer Meet Decatur, Il)
Location – Country Club of Decatur, Decatur, Il
Great end of the season meet in Decatur, Illinois. This is a one day, one session meet hosted by the Turbo Turtles who continually support all our meets each year. This is a really fun meet that our swimmers really enjoy every year.
