Join Red Raider Aquatics
Welcome to Red Raider Aquatics!
Red Raider Aquatics (RAID) offers competitive swimming opportunities for swimmers of all ages and ability levels at our Springfield and Bloomington/Normal locations. Whether your swimmer is just getting started or is an experienced competitive swimmer, we have a place for them to learn, improve, compete, and be part of our team.
Our program combines proper swimming technique with progressive training, allowing swimmers to build strong fundamentals while advancing at a pace appropriate for their age, ability, and goals.
Two Locations. One Team
Red Raider Aquatics proudly serves swimmers through our Springfield and Bloomington/Normal locations:
- Springfield: Practices are primarily held at Eisenhower Pool, with seasonal practices at Nelson Center Pool.
- Bloomington/Normal: Practices are held at Horton Pool on the Illinois State University campus.
Each site has its own practice schedule and may participate in different meets throughout the season, while both locations are part of one Red Raider Aquatics team. Swimmers from both sites come together at RAID-hosted meets and many other competitions throughout the season.
New to Red Raider Aquatics?
We're excited that you're considering RAID!
New swimmers are welcome to try our team practices for one week before committing to join. This gives swimmers and families an opportunity to meet our coaches, experience our practices, and see if Red Raider Aquatics is the right fit.
Before getting started, we encourage new families to explore the information below.
New Swimmer Evaluations
Not sure which practice group is right for your swimmer? New swimmers must complete an evaluation so that our coaches can determine the best starting group.
Learn about our practice groups and how swimmers progress through the Red Raider Aquatics program. Our practice groups provide a clear progression as swimmers improve. Each level builds upon the skills and training developed in the previous group, allowing swimmers to advance naturally through the Red Raider Aquatics program.
